Use webcams with MATLAB and Simulink to acquire images and video on PCs and a range of target hardware platforms.
Using webcams with MATLAB® and Simulink®, you can develop vision systems on PCs and a range of embedded hardware with USB connectivity. With Image Acquisition Toolbox™, you can connect to webcams through interfaces provided by your computer’s operating system, including DirectShow®, Microsoft® Media Foundation, QuickTime (Macintosh only), and Video 4 Linux 2 (V4L2).
Using the Run on Target Hardware feature in Simulink, you can connect a webcam to a range of low-cost target hardware. With xPC Target™, you can connect a webcam to a real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation. All UVC-compliant webcams work through these interfaces.
